Clown Theater
''Caught between life and death: Patoú'' COMPARSA LA BULLA

Death is a three ring circus: Comparsa La Bull
The street theater troupe Comparsa La Bulla presents a play that talks about the dark theme of the death of children, within an ambiance of circus, dance, live music and lots of clowning around that moves and stirs young and old to reflect.
The story is about Patoú who carries around a heavy burden that keeps him from escaping from himself and the harsh reality that he must face: staying in a cemetery until he recovers his heart. Tormented by shadows, Patoú uses all his skills as a clown to attract the pure souls of those children who died without knowing what happiness is, in order to find a very specific one, the soul of Patoú, his young son, who died in tragic circumstances next to his wife.
This character will be able to metaphorically carry out Orpheus' journey to the world of the dead in order to rescue his family, and, through the light of the spirit of his inner child, bring them back, make peace with them, and then allow them to move on.
This unique story is truly moving because of its aesthetics, its eccentric characters, modern live music and specially due to the way it gets the audience involved in helping Patoú recover his heart and find his way back.
Comparsa La Bulla was created in 2001 and since then has worked as a street theater troupe; It is a company of young people from Mexico City who got together to search for new ways of expression through various theater techniques, creating shows that involve clowning, music, singing, dancing, acting, drama, staging, wardrobe, and juggling and balancing acts, thus creating shows for all ages, full of humor, and symbolism, that are thought provoking and make us laugh.
