Folkloric Dance from Tabasco
''Customs and traditions from Tabasco'' Ixtlahuani Ballet, Tabasco

Ixtlahuani Folkloric Dance Ballet wishes to contribute to the recovery of customs and traditions and, most importantly, to strengthen the cultural identity of the state. This year they are presenting their indigenous and mestizo Tabasco repertoire (Tabasqueño tapping).
The Ixtlahuani Folkloric Dance Ballet was created in 1991, sponsored by the Paraíso, Tabasco, city council throught the ''José Tiquet'' Cultural Center. Ever since then, and this year is not the exception, they have created different artistic productions based on different states of Mexico, with regional folk music always at the core, although they have also created productions using a repertoire of Latin American folklore. Their founding director and choreographer, professor Carlos Arturo Rodríguez Pérez, is from the Municipality of Comalcalco, also in Tabasco.
