The 13th edition of the Festival of Life and Death Traditions will take place from October 30th to November 2nd, 2018 at Xcaret Park starting at 4:00 p.m. and finishing at 10:30 p.m., and from November 3rd and 4th at the secondary venues, the City Theater in Playa del Carmen, Teatro de Cancún, and Hotel Xcaret México.

Preferential admission includes entrance starting at 1:00 p.m, the more than 40 activities of the Festival, reserved seats at the main venues including Gran Tlachco. There aren’t reserved seats at small venues, like: Guadalupe Chapel, Esplanade, Main Plaza, Jungle Trail and Mayan Village. Also includes 10% discount at La Plaza gift shop, Kiosk stores and Optional Activities.

Children under 5 years old get free admission. Must show ID at the ticket office of the Park (CURP or school credential). From 5 to 11 years old get half off the adult ticket price; 12 years and older pay full price. An official ID must be presented at the Park’s ticket booths. Price valid only for children and adults who live in Quintana Roo, Campeche and Yucatán with an official ID (IFE or INE, Driver’s License or FM3).

No, the price is a special rate for residents, therefore an additional discount cannot be applied.

Yes, but without a discount. Quintana Roo, Campeche and Yucatán residents WITHOUT ID or any national or international visitor can access the event by purchasing any of the following options:

The Festival is for the whole family and in this edition the guest of honor will be the Mexican state of Zacatecas. There will be folkloric ballet from Zacatecas and Quintana Roo, cabaret theater, regional Yucatán theater, monologues and a wide array of theater shows; pre-Hispanic expressions, dramatized tours, a self guided tour through the cemetery, concerts, puppet show, multidisciplinary shows, community theater, visual arts, painting and photography, traditional rituals, delicious food tasting and handmade crafts on exhibitions from Zacatecas and Quintana Roo, among many other things.

Also, kids and teen workshops called Interactive Hacienda “Silver Angels” with diverse themes, like storytellers, interactive activities, handcrafting, cooking and activities for the whole family. Check schedules

There will be a Gala Concert on October 31st and November 1st and 2nd with the Mexican singer Eugenia León, the second day will perform Ely Guerra and Eugenia León and closing the last day with Ely Guerra, with Xclusive Admission consisting of a bottle of wine of your choice per person, a cheese board and cold cuts. This area is going to be specially reserved for this event. There is limited seating, so reserve right away.

From November 3rd and 4th, the Festival of Life and Death Traditions 2018 moves to the Playa del Carmen City Theater and Teatro de Cancún, where artistic theatrical representations will be presented in unique functions on different schedules.
